Essay / Euthanasia should be legalized - 1782
The ethical and moral debate over euthanasia has been going on for years. The ultimate question: should euthanasia be legalized or not? In my opinion, the practice of euthanasia can be great and should be legalized. I believe what Dr. Kevorkian was doing and his practice was the right thing. Before moving forward, it is very important, appropriate and necessary to say that religion should never play a role in the euthanasia argument, especially when dealing with it from one angle. legal point of view. I don't want to denigrate anyone's religion, but there are so many different religions in this world, who is to say that theirs is the right one? Not everyone is religious, so why should we follow their "practices", especially when it comes to this very sensitive topic regarding people choosing to end their lives. Of course, whether an individual follows their own religion in a personal situation or has a personal opinion on euthanasia is entirely more than acceptable, but when it comes to dealing with the issue with the as a whole, religion simply cannot play a more important role than personal opinion. However, let's take... middle of paper ...... handled his patient's cases in a very morally and ethically correct manner. Euthanasia is a delicate debate over moral, ethical and legal issues that has lasted for years. I honestly think euthanasia can be a good practice and should be legal. In my opinion, Dr. Kevorkian and his office were providing a great service to those who were terminally ill and in great pain. Works Cited Trent, MA and Singer, p. (2005).
