  • Essay / Reflection on the Resurrection of Christ - 1614

    Through Christ we are resurrected to a new life which is eternal, holy and fully conformed to the image of Christ; therefore in perfection with God and with each other. “We know that until now all creation has been groaning in the pains of childbirth; and not only creation, but we ourselves who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while awaiting the adoption, the redemption of our bodies” Rom. 8:22-23. I view the resurrection of Christ as a depth of the power of love that surpasses understanding. The good news is that I will share this same gift of resurrection. In truth, Christians experienced in baptism the taste of resurrection in Christ. The Christian life as it relates to ascension is once again a time of anticipation. Finally, we will see and experience all things as God intended in Creation. Christians live with the tension of this world and the world to come. Christ promised that He would prepare a place for us to be with Him forever. Likewise, we will dine at the Lord's Table, where Christ and all the saints will share communion. Our ascension to God means that we will never again be separated from the awesome love of God. Justice, peace and love will reign
