  • Essay / What Motivates Me to Do My Masters in Computer Science at Florida State University

As a computer engineering student, I have always loved programming. Coding gradually became my passion while studying. Brainstorming while working on programming is the hardest part which I enjoyed the most. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on “Why violent video games should not be banned”? Get an original essay I still remember the time when I was in 10th grade and we first learned about the C language, it was so much fun to do programming in C. At that time, I was not aware of the scope of computers in technology. After completing my secondary education, I was very confused about which branch I wanted to pursue my BTECH in. I talked to a few experienced people and did my own research, then finally decided to do a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. I got admission into one of the prestigious universities, Charotar University of Science and Technology. In first year, we had to cover C and C++, which was easy for me. Programming has maintained my interest in it and throughout the semesters; I became familiar with different languages like Turbo C, Java, C#, Prolog and Lisp. Then a lot of new things were introduced, from how computers work to creating projects. In the fourth semester, we were introduced to the microprocessor and Java. Java was a completely new environment for me. It was much simpler than C or C++. It was fun to program with Java. In the fifth semester, we covered web programming and advanced database management system. Although difficult, it was interesting to learn how websites are created. I chose “Artificial Intelligence” as an optional course. Here I worked on other amazing languages, Prolog and Lisp. I very quickly became familiar with these two languages. In the sixth semester, we covered big data, cryptography and computer networks layers. In the seventh semester, we covered Embedded Systems as an optional subject, Advanced Computing, Compiler Building, Service Oriented Architecture and Mobile Computing. During the eighth semester, we had to undergo professional training in an IT company. I went to a company called Tatvasoft where I got placed during my campus placements. In this company, I developed two projects based on .Net and SQL Server technology. One project was based on an online shopping cart similar to Amazon and another was Urology System which was basically a web application to record urinary events of prostate cancer patients according to the rehabilitation process and able to refer to a health professional. The healthcare professional can evaluate the records of the patient who contacted him with this application and provided him with the information. Since then, I have been working in this company as a software engineer. It's a completely different experience from the coding I was doing at my university. This motivated me to do my master's degree in computer science. Today's technological changes tell us everything about what the future holds for computer science students. There is no end to “best technologies”, they will continue to emerge. Now the question arises: why should you select me among so many candidates? Well, first of all, I had completed two online courses on “Introduction to Mobile and Application Development” and “Mobile Computing” from Nptel, which adds one credit.
