When an essay is scattered, it exposes the writer's difficulty in constructing the paper, which will cause the reader difficulty in understanding the main ideas of the essay author. Although there are errors in my introduction and conclusion, my paragraphs display the organizational patterns that should have been used throughout the essay. For example, the fourth paragraph begins with a clear main point, provides relevant information with two separate examples, and then ends by tying it all back to the thesis statement. By providing a well-structured paragraph, the reader was able to read easily and follow the flow of my idea. When the time comes to write another timed essay, I will remember to create an essay with easy movements by referring to the MEAL structure. After completing the timed writing, I surprisingly found the prompt and range of text provided within my comfort level. Listening to previous students discuss how dropping the WPJ would result in an extra class and time constraint, I entered the class a little worried. Since there were more than two reference texts, I was able to read them all and decide which ones best fit my arguments.
