A father actively participates and remains present in the lives of his children; helping them grow, raising and nurturing them while attending plays and basketball games. A father is rather an organic term for an assistant in matters of reproduction. They provide the elements necessary for the creation of a child, and after that their role and obligations towards the child cease. Fathers do not need to be present to contribute biologically or have a child. Therein lies the difference between a father and a father. Of course, this differentiation is mine, nevertheless I am sure that single mothers who recognize the difference between the two would agree with me. They discover for themselves how the differences between being a father and father affect their children's lives.
