KVC serves as a contractor for these children who have been removed from their families due to abuse or neglect. When children enter state custody, they are referred to us. KVC then provides case management and associated services. We are a provider of contracted child welfare services in Kansas, where we are originally from, and are proud to offer one of the most comprehensive lines of health services of any private foster care provider in the country. The reason Jamie was considered a Child in Need of Care (CINC) was because the parent had been arrested for driving without a license. Jamie is an African American female and she is currently 8 years old. The child was placed with his three other siblings in a live placement. The placement is maternal grandmother Amy. Diversity issues that may need to be considered when working with the family are that the family is African American and they live in low-income housing. The agency is currently in the process of securing mental health services for the child. The child was the victim of sexual abuse. A case plan was established on April 1, 2014 with mother Tonya, grandmother Amy, child Jamie and the child's siblings. The case plan aims to help the family accomplish tasks that they can accomplish and that are reasonable. The tasks consist of things that Tonya can improve and she is involved and must accept the tasks. The tasks are as follows: • Tonya will maintain legal employment and provide KVC with pay slips on a monthly basis. Tonya will maintain stable housing. It will provide KVC with copies of rent and utility receipts on a monthly basis. • KVC will conduct scheduled and unscheduled tours of the home. • Tonya will keep KVC informed and updated on any ongoing crimes...... middle of paper. .....Amy placement. KVC also helps Tonya settle into mental health services and Tonya agrees to follow all recommendations. The main goal that KVC tries to achieve is the reintegration of the birth mother into her home. Family is also mentioned as family therapy and KVC works with them to help them achieve the goal and implement the therapy. Tonya took a two-week break because she was stressed and overwhelmed by the situation. At the last court hearing, the children were expected to be ready to be sent home. The worker and family are doing what they can to ensure that Tonya receives all the help and assistance they need to try to place the children in a safe environment and alleviate stress. KVC is also unable to locate the children's biological father and give them equal opportunity to be involved in the children's lives..
