However, independent analysts often face more pressure than those who are salaried, because their livelihood depends on their ability to maintain and expand their client base. To be self-employed, many analysts must bid for jobs against other analysts by submitting a proposal. Several proposals are reviewed by a company and the most effective analyst is usually chosen.
