Different Learning Styles for StudentsJust like cultural differences between skin colors and spoken language, people have different learning styles. In the modern classroom, children use different learning styles. Teachers must learn to integrate all styles into their activities and involve every student so that no one is left behind. The purpose of this article is to identify the different learning styles applied to the factors that affect learning. There are six main factors that impact or hinder learning. These are brain processes, social factors, environmental factors, senses, physical needs and emotional attitudes. (Creative Learning 1997) The way students process in their brains is essential to the learning style that would be most effective for them. The way a brain processes it had two ways of doing it, left brain or right brain. The right brain is a person who thinks about the big picture. Compared to a left-brain thinker, who thinks and processes information in parts. Right-brain thinkers also process information simultaneously and are impulsive thinkers. They don't weigh the pros and cons of situations as much as left-brain thinkers or reflective thinkers. Social factors play an important role in student learning. How a student learns depends on how many people are involved in teaching or how many peers are also learning. In a large group like a conference room with 100-200 people, one person needs to be attentive and very attentive. There is less individual contact with the professor because he cannot reach all the students. Usually in a larger setting like this, group work is more important. In a smaller framework, s...... middle of paper ......ions and expressions to judge and understand information, and thus form new ideas from that information. The fourth and final general style is the same as that of multiple intelligences. This is the interpersonal learning style. They work well in groups and help others because of their normally stable understanding of the information they contain. Each of the four general learning styles covers the eight styles presented in Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. Even today, psychologists are still finding different ways to better identify how students learn best and which method should be used. Just like technology, information improves as we evolve. With eight different learning styles, people can better understand how to teach and how to shine their best, creating a more productive environment..
