The main source of student-written texts comes from the many essays written, especially those like these where opinions are intended to be expressed. In many English courses, debates and essays are recorded that embody the students' beliefs. A good example is the “Scarlet Letter Essay” from our first-year English class. This is one of the first debates, where most students give their best and express many points of view both about the class and about the school in general. Additionally, the Lincoln Charter Yearbook strongly embodies the spirit of many LCS students. It is able to show all the faces of the LCS, as well as many activities that everyone participates in and through which everyone bonds. These different genres provide significant insight into the general thinking of LCS students and really helped me see the students' intentions and quarrels as a whole..
