This part of the production unfolded beautifully in my mind. Everything worked out so well in my mind because the extreme musical choices helped create an initial subconscious emotion. Then Murray's performance helped me feel like I was watching the real deal - not just a character. And finally, the conscious emotions evoked by The Ballad of Guiteau that helped me connect to the rest of the production. My final thought about the production is that it hasn't changed my opinions, but it has reinforced them. This reinforced my opinion that, unfortunately, for many people who commit murder or have attempted to commit it, it somehow feels justified. And in Guiteau's case, he felt his actions were justified because he did it for God. Most people suffering from similar pathologies need serious help, but they don't think so. The production managed to delve into a thoughtful, frightening and very real subject in a humorous way. I think this production deserves to be remade, because it's rare to hear the "bad guys" side of the story. Overall, I think these types of productions lead us all to a better understanding of
