  • Essay / You are what you eat - 1083

You are what you eatIn my opinion, our bodies are like machines and like most machines, if you take care of them, they will take care of you. Our bodies are no different: you get out what you put into it. No one expects a machine to run without fuel and that requires a specific type of fuel, the one the machine was created to run on. Unlike these machines, our bodies need certain types of foods for fuel and it seems that more often than not we are filling our bodies with the wrong foods. It's crazy to think that we expect our bodies to function properly when we don't treat them properly. Eating is one of the most important and enjoyable aspects of daily life. As a sole source of energy and nutrition, the types of foods we eat can greatly affect how our bodies function. The saying “you are what you eat” may not be as literal as I thought, if that was the case for most of us. would be a burger with fries and a shake. Even if this is not the case, this statement still makes sense because without the right nutrients and exercise, the human body will never be able to reach its full potential. We are all aware of this, but what have we done to solve this problem? Order more, take a few diet pills, and make the same New Year's resolution as last year. So how can we change our lifestyle and eat healthily? The answer is to maintain a healthy diet by making choices about what to eat in an effort to improve or maintain good health. It sounds easy, but in reality it is a massive undertaking that requires careful planning and the mental strength to fend off temptations. Sometimes we don't know what is healthy for us and what to avoid. This is why the sea of diets and nutrition...... middle of paper ... I'm sure many other men and women do it. However, I learned that being thin is not the same as being healthy. With the components of nutrition, the goal is to apply them daily while avoiding all naysayers and distractions. We already know what happens when you fail; just get up and start again this time with more knowledge and motivation than ever. However, when you succeed, say hello to a whole new life. A life full of energy, a strong immune system and a truly unbeatable sense of accomplishment.
