For some time now, I have dreamed of becoming a good mathematics teacher. In sixth grade, my interest was aroused by the passion shown by my mathematics teacher who is also my main source of inspiration. I was impressed by his effective teaching methods and his enthusiasm for making the lessons interesting, even if the subject matter was boring. Brunei lacks effective mathematics teachers, so I would like to add to the few existing teachers and improve mathematics teaching in my country. I realized that Brunei students tend to hate mathematics because it was taught through memorization rather than understanding the mathematical concept. So, when I graduate as a mathematics teacher, I hope to change the mindset of teachers and students so that they are excited about learning mathematics and enjoy exploring the subject.
