    Many do not have the chance to consider the amount of information necessary to make an informed decision regarding post-secondary education. There is a lot of information out there about postsecondary education, and it's too much for students who plan to attend multiple colleges or universities. The quality of information can also vary, and often the most reliable information requires payment. This requires many students to review reams of information, some of which may even be inaccurate. However, the student has no way of discerning what is right from what is wrong. Very few students have enough experience to adequately choose the career field they wish to pursue. Many students change majors once in college because they step into a classroom or laboratory and discover the true nature of the field they have mastered.
