  • Essay / The Bucket List: Ideas from the Bucket List - 900

If you are like me and love watches and clocks, especially analog ones, you are bound to be aware of the “ticking” sound that they emit in the background. With each tick, a part of your life slips away without ever being redeemed. It sounds dramatic but it's true. Whether you pay attention or not, time passes and minutes turn into hours, then days and soon another year bites the dust. It is unfortunate that sometimes we get so caught up in our daily routines that we fail to pursue the things that interest us. that really matters to us as individuals. Yes, paying the bills and making sure the kids are fed is important and your career can give you some life satisfaction. I will participate in one of these marathons and hope to enter a major international marathon in the future.9. Mastering Public Speaking Although I did well in college, I have never been a great public speaker, so although I have a degree in communications, I find my skills in this area to be average. I aspire to have “obama-resque” presentations. In accordance with these, I have already joined the local charter of an international public speaking club. Besides, I hope this will help me in other areas as well, because it will make me a better listener.10. Practicing a Martial Art Growing up in the era when Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and Van Dame were the guys to watch, I always wanted to learn a martial art. When I was younger, it was because it was cool. However, with age, one increasingly appreciates the necessity of discipleship in order to learn.
