I will be able to monitor what I say and how I treat people and make sure that I am not using double standards. This article presents examples of double standards that can be observed in a workplace. After reading this, I can be more aware of these examples and possibly correct them if I see one of them happening in the future workplace I end up with. Simply being aware of these differences can help make women and men more equal in the workplace. One thing this reading brought home to me that I didn't know before is that these double standards still happen. Over the years, this country has made great strides in women's rights and I had no idea these double standards still occurred in the workplace. In my experience, I have never heard anything like this happen in my 5 years of work. I didn't know it was still a serious problem for women.
