    One of the decisions many high school students face is what they want to pursue in life; some options are working, studying at a university, or pursuing technical training. Some students have chosen to study at a university to explore different areas of study to pursue. Each field of study has its own requirements for success in that field. In my personal career search, as many students experience, I have the sometimes painful selection of what I want to do as an adult. This is because I have two professions that I would like to pursue, architecture and engineering. There are many aspects that can help in choosing this career, including personal preferences, career path, employment rates, and more. Each person's academic background will be discussed as a reference point for choosing a career. Both careers require training and specialization in a field. Most degrees from these programs can only be earned at a four-year institution. Higher education is recommended to increase the chances of being hired after graduation.
