Rape is a terrible thing. This affects a lot of people involved. Many scientists believe that abusers or rapists were victims of violence as children. Either watching someone be abused or being abused themselves. This could be a reason why Kenny raped. It is said in the story that his father had mistreated his mother. If you look at it through the eyes of scientists, they would say that's why he raped. He learned by observing his father that there is nothing wrong with hitting or raping women.
