The 19th century invention was a time of innovation, improvement, and rapid growth. The inventions of the 19th century changed the lives of Americans. This improved the middle and upper classes, but had a negative effect on the lower classes. New transportation, new manufacturing industries and new communications have transformed many lives. First, the explosion of new inventions caused a major change in American history; this event was called the industrial revolution. He came to the United States after the British Revolution which caused a ripple effect resulting in revolution in the United States. Samuel Slater came from Britain and brought a successful new textile factory to America. Many changes also occurred, including an increase in income and population in cities. Furthermore, the new revolution caused a division of society into classes. One of these categories of people was the middle class. The middle class was a generally intermediate and middle class that fell between the other two classes. The other classes were upper class and lower class. The upper class was the highest class of all classes and was also the richest. Furthermore, the latter class was the lower class or more commonly known as the working class. The lower class was the poorest and most working class of the three classes. Inventions were the key to most of the changes that occurred during the revolution, hence the Industrial Revolution. Textile factories had a great impact in the 19th century. Introduced by Samuel Slater, a skilled British mechanic who immigrated to the United States and the first textile mill was opened in Pawtucket Rhode Island. Soon, several textile mills were producing in North America. Textile mills were used in the midst of paper production......we had less control over their fate, as machines, although created by humans, seemed to become their masters” (Frazer.D, 2013) . This shows how the lower classes felt when they had to endure so much to keep up with the innovation happening around them and when they had no choice but to work under unfair conditions. At the same time, the upper and middle classes needed the lower classes to stay where they were, as if there were blocks stacked high and the bottom level was the lower class, the middle level was the middle class and the next level up was upper class. . If the lower classes were removed one by one, the structure would be unstable, causing the middle and upper classes to collapse.
