Essay / The Tragic Effects of Agent Orange and the Vietnam War
The effects of Agent Orange are not only evident in the health problems and birth defects of future generations, but also in through the environment. Once lush jungles and forests, particularly in South Vietnam, were decimated. It will take them hundreds of years to return to their original state. Animal species have experienced a decline in numbers. Rivers and aquifers were also contaminated, which only worsened the damage on the Vietnamese population. Air pollution combined with water pollution creates a dangerous and sustainable environment for Vietnamese people.
