Essay / The disadvantages of legalizing euthanasia - 981
This morning you woke up and looked out the window at the start of a new day. Normally we don't focus on the fact that we are alive and healthy. We probably take our lives for granted. But there will be a day when it will be our last day. Many would like this day to be peaceful and without suffering. Is it now possible to control this? Many doctors are debating the legalization of a drug used to end a patient's suffering. This medicine is called euthanasia and its function is to give a “good” death. Would this drug really give a better death than we would have naturally? Also, isn't it ethically right for the person to do this to themselves and what problems do you think the doctor would have if he started prescribing this to patients who ask for it? Who would determine whether we can accept euthanasia? Could it be us, the doctor, the government, God or some other intervention? I believe there is a huge problem with this drug, and that is death. We cannot determine in the future that things might get better and that the last day will come for everyone when it is the right time. The first problem with euthanasia is that it is morally wrong for someone to kill another person even if they ask for it. As a person, I think it's wrong to kill someone; yes, in wars we do it all the time, but even if a lot of people do it, that doesn't mean it's right. Many have mentioned that in their scripts they believe that we cannot control our lives. They believe it is unreligious and inhumane to allow people to take charge of their lives instead of God. many religious people believe that God will control our death whether we like it or not. If euthanasia is legalized, it will most likely in the middle of a paper...... turn into a huge chaos of dying people. .Honestly, this way of seeking a death without suffering is very inhumane. Euthanasia is a very unethical practice, especially for doctors who have to treat this and watch this happen to their patients. How would you feel seeing people die faster and faster every day from this drug? This must be heartbreaking, especially if you are studying to try to save lives. We should try to solve a problem instead of creating new ones with euthanasia. Legalizing euthanasia would make us more morbid. Life is such a wonderful thing and we should live it to the fullest. There are many options other than euthanasia. We want the best for humanity and we need to improve our technology to get the best healthcare and help cure diseases. In addition, conducting research to improve our standard of living.
