Operation Fortitude is considered a huge success, never before. such a campaign of deception was successfully orchestrated and ran smoothly. Operation Fortitude not only allowed Allied forces to establish control of Normandy and then escape and move west across Europe. Operations Fortitude and Bodyguard are considered among the most brilliantly planned and executed military operations in history and deserve recognition for their outstanding achievements and continue to be implemented and refined today..
