    This essay will compare elements of Millennials and Generation X with communication and uses of technology such as mobile phones. Technology evolved rapidly during the era of Generation for the worse? Most millennials grew up around much more advanced technology than Generation X. A great example of this advanced technology is the expansion of modern communication. Nowadays, mobile phone mainly consists of smart phones, which is an extremely fast technology. Phone components have evolved rapidly over the years. The mobile phone consists of: touch screens, internet capability, messaging, games, music, application downloads, video clips and many more icons and applications to interact with. Every day, thousands of people will use their phone to check Facebook, weather updates, games, the time, listen to music throughout the day, and use it for instant messaging. All of these different types of applications and accessibility will be realized and used in the average person's life almost every day and consistently every hour of the day. Communication has developed considerably over the time of these generations. Instead of just talking face to face or using a phone to dial a number, we can now talk to multiple people at the same time thanks to new technologies such as the web, enhanced mobile phones, social media, etc. Although this seems like a big change, there are drawbacks to this new technology. Every time a new means of communication is introduced into society, a part of the human communication process is diminished.
