Essay / Causes of Natural Death - 687
Natural death is the loss of life that occurs due to a natural cause such as age or illness. This is opposed to accidental death or violent death. This type of death also occurs due to malfunction of any organ of the body or the body itself. However, some schools of thought refute the idea that age is a cause of death. Doctors and scientists believe that there is probably a more direct cause of death, such as diseases associated with aging (Battin, 1987). This could be due to reduced immunity. Natural lifespan is the average length of time a human being stays alive. The natural lifespan can be considered to be the same as the maximum lifespan. This is a change in terms since lifespan is just the amount of time a person spends alive. Maximum lifespan is the longest an individual can remain alive. In the healthcare sector in particular, the age and health of the individual are at some point taken into account. However, this is undeniable in all scenarios, when it comes to discrimination against people; it is constitutionally and morally unjust as well. Rationing health care because an individual has reached a certain age is like ending their life gracefully. Indeed, if left untreated, their condition will deteriorate and they will eventually die. On the other hand, the elderly are an important part of society because they have played an important role in their past, which we should appreciate by rectifying at least that and providing them with better treatment and without rationing in institutions health..
