Leadership is not about the needs of a leader; it all depends on the needs of the people and the organization she leads. Finding the style that best suits your personality is undoubtedly an essential part of directing your followers and getting the job done. This allows you to be authentic, experience comfort, and be creative in your work. However, leaders are confronted daily with different personalities, mindsets, attitudes and beliefs from their followers. It becomes difficult for leaders to settle for just one style. Leadership styles sometimes need to be adapted to the particular demands of situations, the particular needs of the people involved, and the particular challenges facing their organization. Next, belonging needs include the desire to be accepted, to make friends, to be part of a group, or to be loved. Then, esteem needs, which include recognition, ...... middle of paper ...... and effective for some leaders' personality, followers, or situations, it may not be for others (Daft, 2011, p.25, international edition). A true leader must weigh the failures and potential successes of every decision they make in order to find the most effective one. The Proposition “Once you develop a leadership style that truly suits you, it will work everywhere. » is valid, unfortunately, is not valid all the time. Indeed, it is important that leaders develop leadership styles adapted to their personality. However, having the flexibility to transform and adopt different styles based on the needs of the followers, the needs of the situations, and the needs of the organization is the key to success for any leader.
