Essay / contradict the fact that a large part of the American population remains without health insurance. This means that average Americans, numbering in the millions, are finding it increasingly difficult to access health care of any kind. As a result, this disadvantage has led to the proliferation of diseases and deaths that could well be avoided. It might be better to ask why previous administrative regimes did not prioritize access to affordable health care, given that it constitutes the linchpin of well-being and, fundamentally, the backbone of an active and healthy nation. The answer should have been found sooner rather than later, but as it turned out, Americans had to settle for campaigning for this basic necessity, and in March 2010 their efforts were rewarded with the signing by President Barrack Obama of a law on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), better known as the Obama Care Act (White House, 2014). In summary, the PPACA Act, considered groundbreaking legislation, would extend comprehensive, low-cost, quality insurance coverage to many Americans.
