Cancer treatments have side effects that include depression and reduced ability of the immune system to respond to infections; therefore, patients are at risk of complications of any kind during treatment. According to several studies, frankincense oil has potential uses as a complementary treatment for cancer due to its reliving properties of depression, infection, and inflammation. Additionally, it has been found to have sedative and immune system stimulating properties. Such studies, numerous reports from ancient scriptures and real patients are paving the way for the consideration and inclusion of holistic medicine in cancer treatments.
