Homelessness is a growing epidemic across the country. This terrible misfortune has led many unsuspecting people to live impoverished lives and face the horrible and heartbreaking tragedy of abandonment. The goal of this essay is to not only persuade readers to get involved in local and national efforts to end homelessness, but also to adopt new and creative ways to help end this growing problem quickly, by acting to put an end to this catastrophic situation. Additionally, I will demonstrate the causes and effects of homeless people's use of violence, using comparison and contrast to examine views and perspectives on helping the forgotten, so that we can put an end to this calamity once and for all. In an increasingly interconnected world, your actions matter more than ever. You can make an indelible difference by taking action to end this tragic situation. Homelessness is a growing epidemic worldwide, and poverty is the most common reason why most people are forced to face the miserable life of living without shelter. The only way to remedy this unfortunate situation is to take action, and in doing so we must know the facts about this unfortunate situation. More than two million people live in emergency shelters and transitional housing. With so many people living in poverty, it gives us a better understanding of why there are so many homeless people today. Not having food and depending on food kitchens, waste and theft of food is a very tragic situation. Without protection from the elements, many of them will die of heat stroke or, frankly, freeze to death.
