I wasn't able to do a group activity, so I decided to do an individual activity. Planning I started planning my activity from my first week of work experience and began to notice that some stroke victims were suffering from memory problems. I then did my research and discovered that if the temporal lobe of the brain is affected, the effects can include short-term memory impairment and difficulty acquiring and retaining new information, as well as problems with perception and of attention (Human-memory.net, 2014). I then spoke to the clinical nurse manager who told me it would be almost impossible to do a group activity since patients were attending physical therapy sessions, had visitors, and where they were in bed.
