Hamlet's father was murdered and he probably did not want to commit suicide because then his life would have been gone. He would never get answers. He would never understand what exactly had happened to his father; he would never find out why his girlfriend killed herself, and he would just be an empty human with no emotions attached to him. If that's why he continued his life, then it's not a problem. Let's just be glad that Hamlet didn't kill himself, whatever the circumstances. The way Hamlet left this world is much better than the way he wanted to die. Laertes, son of Polonius and brother of Ophelia, is cut by the blade of his own sword, and after revealing to Hamlet that Claudius is responsible for the death of the queen. He dies from the blade's poison. Hamlet then stabs Claudius with the poisoned sword and forces him to drink the rest of the poisoned wine.
