    Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, or LACMA as it is commonly known, is one of the world's largest art collections in North America and must be quite specific, the most widespread artwork in the Western United States (Compton 165). This massive art museum has a collection of over 100,000 works of art, spanning from ancient times to the present (Gilbert and Mills 174). These collections, mainly from Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America and America itself, are grouped into several departments within the museum buildings, according to regions, cultures, media and the eras. This article analyzes the different genres of art and explains the main characteristics that make Islamic works of art stand out as historical masterpieces, using stylistic and interpretative analysis methods. History and origin of LACMA artwork. The museum's collection of Asian art, preferably from China and Korea, is on display in the Japanese Art Pavilion (Basch and Poole 541), while the collection of Latin American art: including pre-Columbian magnum opus and works by Diego Rivera, Clemento Orozco, Frida Kahlo, etc., is on display in the Latin American Art Pavilion. galleries (Compton 165). In addition to its American, Latin American and Asian artworks, the museum also has some of the most renowned collections of Islamic and African art. The Latin American collection houses galleries of pre-Columbian and Spanish art as well as other recent and contemporary works of art. But despite their predominance in the LACMA Museum, these works of art cannot compete with Arabic or Islamic art in terms of beauty and magnificence.
