    In our world, there are many different ways for an individual to own or dispossess a product. In this case, there are three ways of having possession, ownership, control and simply obtaining something material. Dispossession is the complete opposite of possession. Whatever was gained, control and ownership has now been lost through dispossession. This relates to My Emily Dickinson by Susan Howe because she uses a lot of references to herself, thus giving the reader a great sense of her history and her outlook on life and society through poetry.
