Cars are a fantastic invention. They make our lives even more carefree by quickly transporting us from one place to another while completely eliminating the need for legs. There is no doubt that the benefits of driving from one place to another are numerous. However, driving uses a lot of fuel, and everyone knows that fuel for cars is not the most abundant (nor the cheapest!) resource. Do you remember that man you saw on the way to school this morning, that man walking down the street? This man is part of an incredibly high population of homeless citizens in America; the number of homeless people is estimated at around 2.3 million people. This represents approximately 1 in 10 people living without housing. If only there was a way to provide people with a cheaper and more abundant alternative to the much-demanded gasoline. If only there were a way to give jobs and housing to these millions of homeless Americans. If only we had camps that housed the homeless in exchange for physical labor!
