Humans have a history of abuse, discrimination, intolerance, injustice, oppression and slavery as well as genocide against each other. The issue of human rights has always been important in the business world. Many companies believe that human rights are an essential part of business life. Most companies recognize the moral imperative to work in accordance with human rights principles. It is increasingly recognized that respect for human rights can also be a tool to improve business performance as well as business results. Businesses and organizations are constantly evolving. Changes that occur affect both the company and its employees. Human resources management takes responsibility for managing employees, ensuring that the organization remains efficient, and ensuring that employees are treated fairly and their human rights are not violated. Human resources managers recognize that humans are the most important asset of an organization or business. This discipline realizes that employees are the key to the success of an organization or business. Employee rights and development within an organization can make the difference between a successful organization and one that is struggling. Today's talented employees look for employers who can help them improve their skills and knowledge, as well as treat and respect them. However, organizations want to retain and attract talented and valuable employees. Human resources managers have direct responsibility for respecting human rights within their organization or company. The government, according to the Universal Declaration, is responsible for the promotion and protection of rights within organizations and businesses.
