Ellie, Fi, Kevin, Lee, Homer, Robyn and Corrie go camping in a remote part of their neighborhood. They make their way into a remote valley surrounded by dangerous cliffs and difficult terrain, where they are completely safe and cut off from the rest of the world. When the teenagers return home, they discover that all the families in the neighborhood have been kidnapped and locked in the exhibition grounds by armed soldiers invading Australia. After discovering this, they carry out many dangerous activities in the neighborhood to stop the enemy's progress. These include blowing up a bridge on an important convoy route and attacking an important bay used for shipping supplies. In this book, the teens travel from New Zealand to help a small group of New Zealand soldiers attack the new air base built in the teens' hometown. The New Zealand soldiers disappear without a trace and the teenagers must attack the airbase themselves... The teenagers decide to search for the soldiers but end up getting stuck in an open enclosure with a few trees. The only thing they could do was climb trees and wait for nightfall. After dark, they put the horses in the paddock and rode them in complete darkness and at full gallop away from where they were. They met at school and stayed there for a few days. While leaving the school, they attempted to attack the airbase by putting sugar in the gasoline supply, which was intended to cause the planes to crash while they were flying. Unfortunately, it was a huge disaster because they couldn't get the sugar on the lids of the gas trucks. Main Characters: Fi: Fi is beautiful, intelligent, kind to her friends and she is perfect in every way. She is light and graceful, has beautiful skin and looks like she hasn't done any hard physical work in her entire life. Fi is the nicest person but she's quick to tell Ellie when she's annoying or stupid..
