The most obvious example of our society defining happiness through love and beauty are the advertisements we see in our daily lives. An ad for Ax Cologne, which aired during the 2014 Super Bowl, promoted its product through a new video called “Make Love, Not War.” This ad showed the world how hard life can be with wars happening every day in foreign countries, but with love (transmitted by beautiful actors and actresses), everything is perfect (Axe Peace) . Thus, Ax cologne can provide the buyer with both beauty and love. This ad is just one example of ads that simply reinforce the definition of happiness we have known since age.
