Essay / A Career in Health Services - 927
I think athletic training and many careers like it are booming. There will always be a need for health workers and they are well paid. Careers I want to pursue as an adult include health care-related fields, such as sports medicine, athletic training, or a physician. These careers are all focused on general medicine. I chose the first two because of my love for the sport, so if I'm not able to play it in the future, I still want to play a role in it. Another reason I choose healthcare is because I love helping people. This is a growing industry as there will always be a need for doctors, nurses, etc. I am already preparing for a career like this in high school as I am enrolled in health science classes and also specialized anatomy as a science. . During my first two careers, I also played sports which helped me become familiar with sports-related injuries and how to treat some of them just by watching. On professional and collegiate level teams, athletic trainers work alongside team doctors to help players. They also help athletes heal quickly from minor issues such as muscle soreness after competition. Athletic trainers are employed by schools, colleges and universities to assist with their athletic programs. As I said above, they also work for professional sports teams. Athletic trainers with...... middle of paper ......st to keep athletes in the game and in practice, but sometimes that's just not possible and students and many times, their parents are very angry about this. As you can see, mathematics relates to athletic training in many ways, and it also seems like a very interesting career that I want to pursue in the future. If I want to do this, I'm going to have to continue to get good grades and work hard at everything I do in life if I want to make it a career. I received a lot of help and writing this article and researching also helped me learn more about this work. Works Cited “Athletics Coach”. Career Information Center. Ed. Marie Bonk. 9th ed.
