    Organic farming produces crops using methods that conserve the environment and avoid most synthetic chemicals, such as pesticides and antibiotics (USDA ). Organic farming is more environmentally friendly than conventional farming because it does not use any type of synthetic chemicals. In many agricultural lands, pollution of streams, rivers and drinking water is caused by synthetic fertilizers. Organic farming systems significantly reduce the amount of water pollution, due to the absence of contaminated water runoff. In some areas, the water population problem is such that conventional farms must be converted to organic farms in order to restore the environment (Organic). Another positive factor is that there is absolutely no use of genetically modified organisms at any stage of food production. By seeing the “Organic” label, you can be assured that the product does not contain any GMOs. However, this cannot be true for products from a conventional sector..
