    Since its beginnings, the video game industry has given distorted images of people, both physically and psychologically. Both men and women have been heavily impacted by their ridiculous male and female body images. The impact of video games on their users begins at the age of 10, when most children start playing video games. This number decreased about 7 years ago (Luke Plunnet Kotaku). Although they seem meaningless and only part of the story, the components of video games can actually have a lasting effect on the minds of children, leaving the future generation to be a racist and disrespectful generation towards Women. As men are presented as the badass male heroes of the universe, women constantly find themselves in their shadow or, even worse, in their pants at all times. The problem with being in the spotlight forever is the fact that not only does our ego grow to enormous sizes, but it also impacts how we perceive ourselves as men. For a long time, women have been in the shadow of men, whether it is the ability to vote or own land, they have always been behind men, even in modern times. An alarming thought to consider is the fact that future generations are being exposed to the idea that women are supposed to be in our shadows from the age of 10, when most parents succumb to their children's desire to play to video games. Future generations quickly learn from what they see in the media and on television the idea that women are always second and men are superior. Some games feature women in leading roles and positions of power, such as Cortana in the Halo series.
