  • Essay / Analysis of Slavery by Harriet Jacobs - 1331

“I will not mind being a slave all my life, if only I can see you and your children free. » Her family and friends remained loyal to her and many of them did everything in their power to keep her and her children safe and free. Jacobs always thanked and mentioned her gratitude to the people who helped her and her children gain freedom. “She said she would sacrifice her home and everything she had in the world, to keep me and my children safe, anywhere in the world.” They were willing to make sacrifices and risk their lives to help her and Jacobs.
