Many tourists who visited this place never forgot Can Tho town as well as its people. The cultural capital creates its own distinctive characters for each community. Cultural capital is made up of symbols, language, festivals and events. Many communities hold distinctive festivals to celebrate their heritage and events. Cultural capital is also formed when communities experience historical events together (Jacobs, 2011). For example, Can Tho Prison, built by the French colonialist a hundred years ago. City Jail is a proof of bloody crime of colonialism and imperialism. The French colonialist built it to imprison Vietnamese patriots and normal criminals. Then US imperialism continually used it for the same purpose. Today, the city jail has become a historic site recognized as a national historic heritage site instead of being used for criminal purposes.2.
