Essay / David Ogilvy's influence on the advertising industry
Technology has been able to help advertisers study the market and consumer choices. Targeting consumers has allowed businesses to reduce their advertising costs. Additionally, the introduction of many advertising development tools such as animation and photography has enabled advertisers to come up with interesting and engaging advertising methods that appeal to consumers. Additionally, the Internet has been able to revolutionize the way advertisers approach consumers, creating an effective intermediary between the business (advertisers) and consumers. The Internet has also paved the way for the emergence of social media sites, which has also had a huge impact on the advertising industry. But the question that arises is whether the Internet has become an advertising playground? And if so, does it overshadow the useful information the internet has to offer. Advertisements lose their value to customers due to redundancy in the form and content of advertisements. Especially since many websites offering free services to individuals will be loaded with ineffective and rather unpleasant advertisements. In conclusion, technology has succeeded in transforming advertising, but where will the limit be? ?
