Is John Grisham's book, Bleachers, credible when based on the use of the new critical analysis? Some people think Bleachers is not credible while others think the book is credible. The book is set in the present day, but Grisham uses his characters to incorporate flashbacks from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Grisham uses many characters throughout the book to tell the story of Messina's football coach , Eddie Rake. Although the main character of his book is considered to be a young man named Neely Crenshaw, Rake is the true main character. The details given in Bleachers are based on both love and hate towards Eddie Rake, as well as grief over his death. Based on the use of New Critical analysis, Bleachers is a credible book when considering the details Grisham has given us. An example of the credibility of Bleachers is the setting, and using New Critical analysis we see that the setting of Bleachers is credible. .
