    Mississippi is a very beautiful state. Even though I'm from Alabama, they look so much alike that I feel like I'm still in Alabama. It's easy to live here, like at home. In Mississippi there are a lot of small towns and it seems like everyone knows everyone here. Mississippi has traditions of strong family bonds with many family gatherings over good meals and good entertainment. There have been a lot of good things and a lot of bad things. I think a lot of good things that happened outweighed the bad things and now Mississippi is a very good place to live. Much like my southern home state of Alabama, Mississippi has faced many challenges. They experienced things like slavery, segregation and some people still haven't gotten over it. Some people I've talked to believe that Mississippi is still a place of racism and that blacks and whites live separately. This is however not true.
