Privacy is the condition for being away from public view. Social media brings people together around the world. However, when the community expands and more people can get to know each other freely, private information can be more easily found by outsiders. Additionally, people can use Internet advertising to persuade other people to give up personal information. Then they use this information to pretend to be someone else and deceive others. For example, some people create sweepstakes or games of chance in order to steal private information such as ID number, telephone number and bank account number; criminals can use any information to commit crimes. According to Javelin Strategy & Research's Identity Fraud Study (2017), $16 billion was stolen from 15.4 million U.S. victims last year, up from $15.3 billion in 2015. and approximately 13 million social media users. Thus, the number of victims continues to increase due to the lack of privacy in the territory.
