    IntroductionWhenever people think of coffee, they think of the name Starbucks. What is Starbucks? Starbucks Corporation is a global coffee company and American coffeehouse chain. Starbucks opened its first store in Seattle's Pike Place Market in 1971. They were a roaster and retailer of whole and ground coffee, tea, and spices. Today, Starbucks has more than 19,000 retail stores worldwide. Starbucks’ mission is “to inspire and nourish the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time” (Starbucks Corporation, 2014). Although Starbucks' main selling point is its coffee, Starbucks also offers a diverse range of products from tea to smoothies and merchandise. In terms of the quality of its coffee, Starbucks believes in serving the best possible coffee to all customers. Using ethical sourcing practices, Starbucks ensures that all of its coffee is grown to the highest quality standards. For example, Starbucks coffee buyers travel from America to all over the world, from Latin America to Africa to Asia, just to select the best quality coffee beans. Plus, with Starbucks Roast, Starbucks master roasters bring out the balance and rich flavor of the beans. (Starbucks Corporation, 2014). Starbucks employees, also called their partners, are at the heart of Starbucks Enterprise. All Starbuck partners are treated with respect and dignity because Starbucks knows the importance and contribution to the entire Starbuck Enterprise. According to Starbucks Corporation (2014), “We are proud to offer two flagship programs to our partners: comprehensive health coverage for eligible full- and part-time partners and equity in the company through Bean Stock.... .. middle of paper ...... good job on being a responsible company.
