Success is on Your TermsFinding an achievable path to a personal goal cannot be found through a web search, in a book or through conversation. Instead, it occurs over a progressive period of time during which reactions, interactions, motivation, dedication, effort and flexibility educate the individual and, in turn, he or she is more inclined to achieve its objective. Immediately determining what school you want to study is not feasible without life experience and reality. For my part, I had no idea. My best work results from passionate material that manifests through business and culture, in which I have rich experiences. Apart from all the experiences, I know how to build on them. I had two major experiences that brought out my strengths. One of them was a three-acre self-managed produce farm. The second lived on an island in the North Pacific Ocean within the indigenous Alutiiq culture. My years of work have highlighted the strengths that I can develop at a university. Taking advantage of the agricultural assets formerly present, I rented land and planted three acres of vegetables. The harvest required weekly attention. With my team of employees, weed maintenance, irrigation, pest control and flower pruning took place. I had three employees. After harvesting the produce, I drove it by flatbed truck to the public farmers market and to my roadside stand where it was sold. The Farmer's Market showed me the pros and cons of many in-person physical advertising options. I noticed that older male customers were attracted to a layout where products were aligned perpendicular to each other and younger female customers had less preference than the former. I myself have successfully worked for myself, convinced farmers' market buyers to buy from me, observed the layout of Kodiak's logistics department, lived and observed a culture so diverse and obscure from the rest of the world's operations and succeeds, although, more importantly, I see that each situation is compatible with the ideas and reasons of the respective culture and that no one is more right than the other.
