Essay / Global warming: release of greenhouse gases
The United States government has denied the truth about global warming. It seems like everyone else followed as well. It has become very worrying that people are not aware of what global warming actually is and are leaving it to politicians to decide for them. So, what is global warming? There is a process that occurs in our atmosphere called the greenhouse effect. Our planet's natural greenhouse gas emissions are intended to keep our planet warm. What happens is that these gases are released into our atmosphere, where they then trap sunlight, and that light is released into the earth to warm it. The amount of energy used to warm our Earth is still the same amount of energy that our atmosphere releases into space. As a result, the Earth remains warm, but cool enough to support life. However, global warming occurs when this process takes place in an abnormal manner. Greenhouse gas emissions come from factories, wood burning, deforestation and other human activities. These gases undergo the same process as the natural greenhouse effect. However, there is now more light trapped than is released, and the Earth is becoming overheated. This is the process that scientists call global warming. Global warming, caused by humans, is negatively affecting our planet. This causes our sea water to rise and our fresh water to shorten, leading to near extinction of animals, and this affects our health. The changes in our water have become more drastic over time. A concern that concerns many scientists is rising sea levels. Overall, the cause of our sea level rise is global warming, but there is a specific concern that is part of this causation.
