Steve Jobs once said: “Every once in a while, a revolutionary product comes along and changes everything. It is a great opportunity to be able to work on just one of these areas during your career. On January 9, 2007, Apple changed this company by introducing the iPhone, virtually putting the world in the company's hands. iPhones give people the latest technology, allowing them to do anything from chatting with friends to measuring their heart rate. This innovation is excellent and makes society's life much easier through simplicity and instant gratification. Although useful for everyone, iPhones have become addictive. This current generation has become attached and less independent, now relying on the technology of a phone. iPhones will continue to evolve significantly throughout the future, becoming more technologically efficient than previous models. On January 10, 2007, Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone on stage at the Moscone Center in San Francisco during the MacWorld convention ("iPhone" 1). Apple gave few details when they began promoting their new iPhone. However, it was a strategy. Apple understands that they have a great track record and that releasing limited information about their new iPhone would generate additional buzz and possibly lead to new sales. This strategy was a success for Apple. David Yoffie, a professor at Harvard Business School, said that Apple generated the equivalent of four hundred million dollars in free advertising (Hurtooe 1). Soon after the unveiling, highly anticipated tech enthusiasts around the world were patiently waiting for the release. Sanchez 2 Six months later, their wait was over.
