Eating disorders are developed or influenced by multiple reasons. They are now developed at a younger age than before. Eating disorders affect the majority of adolescents around the world. Teenagers use eating disorders to change the size and shape of their bodies. They do this to become what they think is a normal body shape and size. Eating disorders have become an epidemic that has spread almost everywhere in the world. Eating disorders among adolescents are becoming a dangerous problem worldwide and are becoming more common every day. Adolescents develop eating disorders at a very high rate. Many factors contribute to the development of eating disorders in adolescents. The number one reason why so many teenagers develop eating disorders is because they are influenced by society. Eating disorders among adolescents are increasingly common due to the immense value society places on thinness. Adolescents all over the world are under the influence of the fact that to be pretty, beautiful, happy and successful, you have to be thin or a certain height. They think they must be a reflection of what society considers to make a person perfect. Society isn't the only reason why teenage disorder can seem unstoppable, there are solutions to help take control of the problem. Society and the media must make adolescents understand that body image is not everything, that they do not have to look like everyone else and that it is normal to be a normal weight or even a plus size. big.
