This is bad news for the fish. » This quote from Dr. John illustrates tidal currents in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, where a floating island has emerged. It is made entirely from garbage and waste dumped into the sea over decades. This is where all the tidal currents in the Pacific Ocean meet. This implies that marine life has been largely affected in the surroundings of this vast trash island. Thus, sea pollution has literally become uncontrollable. "The deep blue sea is now a deep dark sea. Fish and other sea creatures are dying in large numbers." This quote implies that the ocean was once a vast expanse of giant blue water, full of life. Now this is a horror story. It's full of waste and pollution. The fish are killed with the smallest waste. Some species of fish are endangered. This includes the dolphin – which is not a fish. But it is a marine creature on the verge of extinction if humans do nothing to change their habits which pollute these poor animals. "The darkest place on Earth is now the ocean. Oil leaks are poisoning the pristine blue waters." This quote implies that spills from oil reserves and oil rigs are a growing problem that harms all kinds of marine life. The sea is blackened by oil which naturally stains the pristine, crystal clear waters. He then talks about oil spills in the Middle East. “The seas of Middle-earth are of greatest concern.” In which most of the Persian Gulf is covered in black spots of oil. In the second part of the book, Dr. John begins to talk about pollution in the sky. "The number of planes in the sky is increasing every day. This is also a growing concern." Dr John suggests that the increasing number of commercial flights is polluting the skies. Thus, plants and animals are affected. With massive chemtrails, the air on the planet's surface is slowly contaminated with toxic fumes and noxious gases. These things are not good for humans, wildlife and plants. “With the rise of factories, the air is sometimes difficult to breathe. » The author suggests that pollution from nuclear power plants is also a growing problem. This pollutes the air in extreme ways, more than commercial flights. “In a Nepalese town, they wear masks. Because the air is very foggy with smoke.” implying that the air is completely polluted to the extent that the general population must wear face masks in order to not be exposed to extreme amounts of toxic fumes and pollution. This also implies that the air is full of visible toxic gases and fumes, making it difficult to see in these areas. “Birds are falling from the sky.” This quote is the most heartbreaking to read.
